I’ve taken a few Peak Refuel meals on backpacking trips, and for the most part they do the job. They taste better than a lot of camp food and they’re filling, which I definitely appreciate after hiking all day.
That said, the sodium is hard for me to ignore. On a long, sweaty day it makes sense, but on shorter hikes or if I eat one at home, it starts to feel way too salty quickly. That’s the main thing that sticks in my mind.

I’d still give them 4 stars because they’re convenient, satisfying, and one of the better options I’ve tried for backpacking meals. I just wish they had more lower-sodium choices, because as good as they are, the saltiness would make me hesitate to buy certain ones again.

I picked up a few Peak Refuel meals for my emergency bin mostly because I’m terrible about remembering to rotate food. The shelf life was a big selling point for me, and the dates on the bags were really far out, so I didn’t feel like I was getting anything close to expiring. It’s nice to just tuck them away and not have to think about it for a while, especially since I know I’ll forget if it needs constant checking. Overall, I’m happy with them.

I’ve ordered from Peak Refuel a few times now, and the variety is a big reason I keep coming back. It’s nice not being stuck with the same pasta or rice meals every trip. The breakfasts have been solid too, which can be hard to find with camp food. So far everything has been easy to pack and has actually tasted good. I do still wonder a bit if the quality will stay consistent over time, but up to now I’ve been happy with what I’ve tried.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much food was in one bag. I had it after a long hike and it actually filled me up, so I didn’t feel like I had to go digging around for extra snacks afterward. It’s just nice when a product gives you a fair amount instead of making you feel shorted. Happy with it

The flavor was kind of bland, but it was still edible. I had mentioned this in my message, but it kind of felt like nobody actually read it.

The food tastes good overall, and I did find a few things that worked for me. I just wish there were more choices—actually, more easy-to-find choices, especially for vegan or gluten-free options. I’d probably buy again here and there, but better filtering and a bigger selection would make a big difference.

Bottom line: I was full for hours. I didn’t expect it to be that satisfying, but it ended up keeping me way more filled up than I thought it would.

The meat actually tastes and feels like real meat, not those tiny mystery chunks, and the veggies don’t turn into complete mush. Flavor-wise, they’re good too. They’re not insanely salty like some backpacking meals can be, which I appreciate. I also like that they pack in a lot of protein, although a couple of the meals are a bit rich for my taste. I did reach out once with a quick question, and support basically said, “Everyone’s tastes are different, but we try to focus on real ingredients and bigger portions,” which felt fair enough. I’d give them 4 stars because the quality is definitely there, but they’re a little expensive and not every flavor is one I’d buy again...

My order showed up and the main meals were all correct, which was great!!! But one of the flavors wasn’t the one I picked, so that was a little annoying!!! Not the end of the world or anything, just kind of a bummer. Shipping was totally fine though!!!

I tried two of the meals and both times my stomach was messed up bad, especially overnight. I reached out/checked for answers about what might be in them, but the info I got felt inconsistent, which just made it more frustrating. Definitely not buying again

So... I tried Peak Refuel on a camping trip, and it was super easy. I just added hot water, waited a little while, and dinner was ready. No mess, no guessing, which was great because I was tired and just wanted something quick to eat.

The food is good when I can actually get it, but so many of the things I wanted were out of stock again. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to plan meals for the week and half your list just isn’t available. Like, make it make sense.

Not gonna lie, I wanted to like these meals, but they were kind of a hassle on the trail. I tried a few during a trip, and they needed way more water than I expected just to keep them from turning out super thick. That’s not ideal when you’re trying to conserve water while hiking. The taste was okay, but overall it just didn’t feel worth the extra effort.

I don’t know, I just expected more protein from this. Checked the label after getting it and it felt kind of low. For what I wanted it for, it didn’t really make sense. Probably won’t buy it again.

The food got here totally fine, so no complaints there. Shipping just took longer than I thought it would, and the tracking kind of sat there for a few days with no real updates, so I was like... is it stuck somewhere, or...? Not a bad experience overall, just not exactly quick. I’d probably order again, but only if I wasn’t needing it right away.

The weird part is, everything seemed fine, but it just took a while for them to reply. Would’ve been better if the communication was a bit quicker.

I’m not sure how it compares to other places around here, but the meals felt fairly priced and they definitely filled me up.

My order showed up in good shape, no dents or busted corners or anything like that. The pouches were packed in tightly, and nothing leaked or got crushed. Maybe I’m too easily impressed by decent packaging, but I was happy with how solid it was.

I was surprised by how many calories are packed into such a small bag, but that ended up being exactly what I needed. It worked well for a quick boost and reminded me that sometimes the simplest things can make a real difference when you’re trying to keep going

The website was simple enough to use, and my order I got placed quick. Checkout had no weird issues or anything, so all good.
